Life Legacy

Clemon was born in Garland City, Arkansas on October 15, 1906 to "Slaves" Drucilla and Samuel Herron, he was raised on a farm, owned by his father, one of the first black land owners in the county. As a young man he moved to Altheimer and in 1947 he moved to Stuttgart, where he began working at Riceland Foods for 37 years, becoming the first African-American to become shift supervisor. He accepted Christ at an early age, at First Baptist Church in Stuttgart, and in 1952 he joined Allen Temple where he became a deacon and superintendent of Sunday schools. He loved reading, walking, sharing Gods word daily, and loving his family and friends.

Deacon Herron leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Rose Lee Herron of 55 years; four sons: LC Herron(Lori), Clarence Herron, Glen Herron, and Steve Holmes of Stuttgart; six daughters: Sammie Tisinger and Queen Jemmerson of Kansas City,Kansas; Betty Herron of Memphis Tennessee; Rosie Lee Sims(Roland) of Conway Arkansas; Barbara Herron of Detroit Michigan; and Joyce Ann Herron of Stuttgart.

Thirty grandchildren: Nathaniel Johnson, Dan Johnson, Helen Webb, Ricardo Johnson, Joyce Ann Charles, Kevin Herron, Tenisha Sanders, Rodney Tisinger, Catrina Lowe(David), Ronda Tisinger, David Herron, and Alton Herron, Jr., Crystal Young(Michael), Ramont Herron(Jenise), Terry Harris, Christal Thompkins, Jamie Thompkins, Mia Herron, Robin Cline(Calvin), Gary Jemerson, Leon Earls, Bryant Earls, Brandy Earls, LC Herron Jr., Travion Phillips, Rica Herron Glen Herron Jr., Cassie Herron,Jerry Herron Jr., Passion Wofford,and Shawna Davis.

He will be missed by over 200 Great-grand and Great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
